Islantilla
Islantilla is a coastal resort town belonged to the province of Huelva. The town appeared on a map of Andalusia thanks to a decision of Lepe’ and Isla Cristina’ city halls in the beginning of 90s. A plenty of modern hotels was built quite fast and now Islantilla is a pretty resort town located on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean in Costa de la Luz, a resort area that comprises the coasts of the province of Huelva and the province of Cadiz.
Islantilla has all components needed for rest that every good resort town should have. The sun shines 300 days a year. Average annual temperature is 22°C. Perfect golden beaches of Islantilla are still not crowded in comparison with beaches of extremely popular with tourists resort area Costa del Sol that is situated in the South of Andalusia. In Islantilla, vacationers have an excellent opportunity to swim in clear water of the Atlantic Ocean: the beaches of Islantilla have a Blue Flag. All kinds of water sports, such as windsurfing, sailing and scuba diving are available here.
Golf lovers will be pleased with the quality of fields of Islantilla Golf Club. It is thought to be one of the most beautiful golf clubs in Andalusia. Islantilla Golf Club has magnificent sea views and old pine trees within 27 Holes layout. The Club has clubhouse built in a colonial style. Green fees will pleasantly surprise both experienced golfers and beginners.
The hotels in Islantilla, one of the few resort towns in the province of Huelva, are situated in 15 minutes walk from the beach that is undoubtedly one of the big pluses of this coastal town. Besides the hotels, there are lots of bars and restaurants, which offer a wide choice of delicious seafood. In addition, Islantilla has two shopping malls.
The nearest to Islantilla airport is situated at the distance of 80 kilometers in Faro, Portugal. The second nearest is 125 kilometers to the East in Seville, the capital of Andalusia.
