Holidays in Spain: Costa del Sol awaits Obama

(Andalusia Travel News)

Costa del Sol in Spain is preparing to host the family of the President of the United States. As expected, members of Barack Obama’s family are to arrive to the famous summer resort region of Andalusia in early August. Already now it is not difficult to guess how tourism authorities Costa del Sol are optimistic about it. After all it is hard to imagine a more effective advertisement than a visit to the resort of the President of the United States.

Marbella will be that resort, where the family of Obama will stop. Marbella enjoys a reputation of Spain's recreation center among bohemians. While definitely not known whether Obama himself will accompany his family during the visit. It is only known about the arrival of President's wife Michelle along with her younger daughter Sasha.

Spanish vacations family members of U.S. President will spend in the hotel Villa Padierna. This five-star hotel is situated in the stunning place of Marbella surrounded by cypress trees and mountain peaks. The hotel is managed by well-known hotel chain Ritz Carlton. In total, in the hotel have been reserved 40 rooms, where besides the president's family will stay friends of Michelle Obama. It is planned that Michelle Obama and her daughter will arrive in Marbella on August 4, 2010.

It is expected that during her stay in Spain, Michelle Obama will visit the island of Majorca, where she will participate in a luncheon hosted by King Juan Carlos I. It will be held in honor of Michelle Obama in the Marivent palace.

It is worth noting that the White House has still not officially confirmed that Barack Obama will accompany his wife during the vacations at the resort of Marbella. The Prime Minister of Spain Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero expressed his hope that the U.S. president will still find time to visit Spain. Either way, as the Spanish press say, in particular the resource i-marbella.com, excitement around the visit of the President was probably caused by the fact that the hotel Villa Padierna ordered a festive cake on August 4. It is known that on August 4 Barack Obama will celebrate 49th birthday and his counterpart Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero – 50th.
