Boutique hotel La Residencia, situated in the north-west of the island of Mallorca, begins production of extra virgin olive oil.

The fact is that La Residencia is located in an area of 130,000 square meters, much of which for hundreds of years was occupied by olive groves, which have declined over the last century. Following the current trend on formation of clean environment, La Residencia hotel has concluded an agreement with a local agricultural company to work together. It is aimed at restoring the ancient olive groves. According to the owners of the hotel within few years it will be possible to achieve a stable output of extra virgin olive oil, as well as to arrange its sale. Due to the fact that all olive trees have considerable age, the oil from La Residencia will have its own unique taste and special level of acidity.

Located in the prosperous valley, surrounded by palms, cypresses, olive and orange trees, the hotel La Residencia is a unique place for recreation. It is located in three historic mansions - Son Moragues, Son Canals and Son Fony, which were built in 16-17 centuries. Despite the fact that all the buildings were renovated and equipped with modern appliances, the owners managed to keep the atmosphere of the house and the Spanish style of past centuries.

La Residencia hotel offers its visitors accommodation in 67 comfortable rooms and villa. Each of the rooms did not like the others and is unique, the decor is in a traditional Mallorcan style, which is dominated by calm, natural tones. In addition the hotel offers eight new Tramuntana Suites - overlooking the Tramuntana mountain range. Each room offers: spacious living room with access to the garden and cozy bedroom, bathroom with separate shower cabin and toilet, in the Tramuntana Suites garden are presented the most rare plants of the Tramuntana mountain range. Each room has its own name in accordance with the names of mountain peaks of the Tramuntana - Tomir, Massanella, Puig Major, Tossals, L'Ofre, Alfabia, Teix and Galatzo.
