Hilton Hotel Corporation announced its intention to open the first luxury Waldorf Astoria hotel in Spain. Hacienda La Boticaria hotel near Seville expects rebranding, after which it will open its doors under the updated name - Waldorf Astoria Sevilla at La Boticaria.
Currently the hotel is operationally managed by Hilton. The opening of the hotel under a new name is expected this summer.
The future first Spanish Waldorf Astoria hotel is conveniently located near the center of Seville, in the town of Alcala de Guadaira. An additional advantage of the hotel’s location is its proximity to the international airport of Seville (IATA: SVQ, ICAO: LEZL). It is just 20 minutes drive from here to the terminals of Aeropuerto de Sevilla.
The hotel is a luxurious estate. It was created on the hacienda principle - a large rural mansion owned by the Spanish aristocracy. In the yards of the hotel are created six gardens. Waldorf Astoria in Seville will offer its guests a unique spa center - one of the largest in Europe, several swimming pools, Club de Golf de Sevilla, as well as horse riding in the equestrian club, where riders will be offered 16 thoroughbred Spanish trotters.
Its capacity is 133 rooms. In addition to the building Waldorf Astoria Sevilla at La Boticaria also administers a few acres of land.
Waldorf Astoria Sevilla at La Boticaria hotel also promises to be one of the best hotels in Seville for discovering the delights of the local cuisine. However, according to the Hilton representatives, works on creating the image of the restaurant and its culinary concept are still being developed.
The first hotel of the Waldorf Astoria in Spain will be the fourth in Europe. Prior to this luxury chain presented its hotels in Rome, Paris and London. The next step is Berlin and Jerusalem.
