Andalusia will present its tourist potential in several Gulf countries. Present situation on the tourist market of the Mediterranean allows Andalusia to advance their opportunities for recreation on a new, previously considered as closed, market of the Middle East. Andalusia expects to attract some of those tourists who have not visited Egypt and Tunisia.
Holidays in Andalusia will be presented at special seminars in Kuwait, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar and Doha. Tourist Department of Andalusia plans to offer its products to 200 tour operators and travel agencies of the Middle East states.
The organizer of a series of seminars is Spanish national tourist agency Turespaña.
Program of seminars will cover primarily those segments of the holidays in Andalusia, which represent the category of luxury vacations: VIP-tours, shopping, cruises along the coast of Andalusia, equestrian, golf and historical sites.
The region of Andalusia is famous not only because of the rich heritage of the Spanish crown. It also presents monuments of the Moor period on the Iberian peninsula. Among the most famous architectural complexes of that time is the palace complex of Alhambra in Granada.
The number of experts, who will attend the workshops in Andalusia, is following: 30 tourism professionals will get acquainted with the opportunities of Andalusia in Kuwait, 55 in Dubai, 35 in Abu Dhabi and 60 in the Qatari capital Doha. Andalusia will present its program in conjunction with one of the largest tour operators in the Middle East - Emirates Holidays.
Advertising of opportunities for the regions of the Middle East is a part of a strategy of the Andalusian region to promote its services to new markets. Among the promising areas, where Andalusia plans to offer its services are also China and India.
