Sales season started in Madrid

Sales season started in Madrid
Sales season started in Madrid

People, whose greatest pleasure is shopping, are looking forward for a happy time - the season of sales. Such event takes place twice during the year in winter and summer. Among the top countries offering huge discounts are Italy and France in winter and Spain in summer. These regions are particularly popular among shopaholics in summer. So, last weekend global sales began in Madrid, while from July 1 to the capital will join other Spanish cities, including Andalusia. Other European countries lag behind Spain for almost two weeks.

Traditional areas of shopping interest are Salamanca, Arguelles, Fuencarral, Presiados la Salle and Rastro. Here almost all boutiques, department stores and shopping malls were decorated with red signs "Rebajas" (sale). Here customers will be offered discounts from 30% to 50%, which over the time will grow and at the end of the season can reach 70%.

The largest discounts up to 75% are traditionally for summer clothes. Rebajas in Spain are extremely serious and the rules of sales, as well as terms are controlled by the state. For example, during the sale all sellers are obliged to disclose the cost of goods before the sale, the current discount and the final price. In addition, things at discount prices and full-price items should be located in different parts of the store. Spanish law also guarantees a two-year warranty on all products of the store, including goods purchased during the sale. However, the seller has the right not to exchange the goods, but return money for the thing bought on sale. The only exception is defective goods. The season of sales will end not later than September 21, or the store owners will have to pay a fine from 1,500 to 50,000 Euros.
