Resorts in Spain: summer preparations in Benalmadena

Resorts in Spain: summer preparations in Benalmadena
Benalmadena, Spain

One of the most famous resorts on the Costa del Sol in Andalusia - Benalmadena - will offer a new attraction park for the current summer. The new park will be opened in the Finca de Los Limones district.

The works on creating new recreation area in Benalmadena will be completed by May. In addition to entertainment the new park promises to be one of the new attractive walking places. The resort authorities are planning to create a special romantic light system for the park.

In Benalmadena will also be completed 1.3 million Euros reconstruction of one of the main city boulevards - Antonio Andrade boulevard. This summer the boulevard will become an additional attractive site of the resort. The boulevard will also have a very utilitarian function - connecting the two city districts of Arroyo de la Miel and Medina Azahara

Among the novelties of the upcoming season in Benalmadena is also opening of the first restaurant-brewery of the well-known Spanish network Cervecería 100 Montaditos. The restaurant will be designed for 164 visitors.

Innovations are also expected to come to the Benalmadena beaches. In particular, in February 2012 at the resort was adopted a law that prohibits swimming before 11 am. These measures were taken by the authorities as early tourists prevent cleaning process.

Benalmadena along with such cities as Torremolinos and Marbella is considered as one of the key resorts on the Costa del Sol. It is located 12 kilometers from Malaga. In addition to its beaches Benalmadena is also known as the city with the Europe's largest Buddhist stupa. The beach line of the resort is about 9 km.
