One of the main attractions of Malaga, the Picasso Museum in the palace of Buenavista, opens in its halls an extended exposition of works of genius artist. From 27 April to 20 July in the Picasso Museum you will see 72 new works, which will be first demonstrated in the museum.
Among the presented works of Picasso are paintings, drawings and illustrations that reflect different periods of art of the famous native of Malaga. The updated exhibit is a part of a campaign to reorganize the Picasso Museum in Malaga. The administration of the museum intends to change the structure of the museum in such a way as to give the visitor the most comfortable opportunity to become acquainted with the works of one of the founders of modern art. The current update of the exhibit is the first part of the reorganization. The second phase will begin after July 20, when in the museum will be put up another 43 new works, which were transferred to Malaga from the collections of various funds. The second part of the exhibition is expected to be available for viewing until the end of October.
Today, the Picasso Museum is one of the most visited museums in Andalusia. It is worth noting that here are held the exhibitions not only of Picasso, but also of a number of other artists, in varying degree close to Picasso by the spirit. Recently, the museum hosted an exhibition of Czech cubist Frantisek Kupka. It drew the attention in total of 46,000 visitors.
