Balearic Islands: more Britons and Russians

Visitors from the UK, as expected, will become the second largest nation of tourists, who will arrive on holidays to the Balearic Islands this season.
Today, leadership in the number of tourists holds Germany. However, according to the data voiced by the director of Spanish Tourist Office in London Ignacio Vassalo, the Britons will be able, if not oust the Germans, but significantly increase their presence at the resorts of the Balearic Islands.

According to the Spanish Tourist Office, the number of Britons on the Balearic Islands during summer 2011 will be about 3.2 million tourists. It is by 500,000 more than in summer 2010.

This season tourism in Spain due to instability in North Africa can significantly improve its performance compared with last year. Many tourists prefer resorts in Spain to Egypt or Tunisia.

As for tourists from Russia, they are also welcomed on the Balearic Islands. Among tourists from Russia Balearic Islands is the second most visited region of Spain after Catalonia. In 2010 to the islands came by 27% more tourists than in 2009, which give the reason to expect continued growth for tourism opportunities on Ibiza, Majorca and other islands of the archipelago.
