Santa Ana la Real: Nature, Trails and Culture
Santa Ana la Real is located in the Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche Natural Park, which is part of the Dehesas de Sierra Morena Biosphere Reserve. The Chorros de Joyarancón is a waterfall more than 15 metres high.
Nature
The Chorros de Joyarancón can be reached from the Puente de Los Casares. The trail crosses the river twice and then continues through pine and chestnut trees. The Sendero de Las Coscojas (SL-A 284) is a circular trail that starts and ends in La Presa, a hamlet of Santa Ana la Real. It passes through chestnut forest and along paths between holm oaks and cork oaks.
The El Risco de Levante trail begins near the Fuente de los Tres Caños in Santa Ana la Real. Santa Ana la Real provides two Joëlette all-terrain wheelchairs for visitors with mobility impairments who wish to use the municipality’s trails and paths.
Culture
The Iglesia Parroquial dates from the mid-18th century and is classified as a historic building with Level I heritage protection. It is located on the Plaza de España. The ensemble comprising the Iglesia and Plaza de España, as well as its surroundings, is protected as a heritage setting.
The Fuente de los Tres Caños has three symmetrically arranged outlets in a hexagonal glazed-ceramic body, as well as a round stone basin. The Hornos de Cal are designated as ethnographic cultural heritage for protection, interpretation and enhancement.

The Bosque de las Letras is a tourist and cultural route around Santa Ana la Real. The trail is approximately 5 kilometres long and starts and ends in Santa Ana la Real. At several reading points in the natural surroundings, the Bosque de las Letras presents literary texts.

The Ruta Astronómica is an approximately 2.5-kilometre astronomical circular trail. The route introduces visitors to the solar system, night-time orientation and the identification of the main constellations.
