The wind capital, Tarifa, is the most popular with windsurfers town in Europe. The southernmost town of Andalusia is belonged to Cadiz province. Due to constantly blowing winds, Tarifa is the best place for those who are crazy about windsurfing, kitesurfing and sailing.

Tarifa is belonged to Andalusian resort area Costa de la Luz that is famous for its unspoiled beaches. In spite of the fact that the province of Cadiz has relatively low popularity, Tarifa is an extremely popular with tourists Andalusian town. Along with Hawaii Tarifa is really the Mecca for kitesurfers and windsurfers. Winds are strong and constant, although there are some spots in and around the town where waves are not very big. Therefore, Tarifa is an ideal town for both professionals and novices in extreme water sports. The town is a place where the Atlantic Ocean meats the Mediterranean Sea, so there is a great opportunity for divers to discover exiting depths of this unique place.

The town of Tarifa is a good choice to stay for nature lovers that will have an excellent possibility to enjoy bird watching or whale watching. The town is surrounded by mountains, so those who are interested in climbing or mountain biking will also like spending their vacation in Tarifa. Besides natural resources the town, as all old cities in Andalusia, has lots of magnificent sights. The most interesting are Jerez Gate (the 8th century), the Castle of Guzman the Bueno (the 10th century), the Church of San Mateo (the 16th century) and the Municipal Museum. Due to the location of Tarifa in the southernmost point of Cadiz province, tourists are able to enjoy a view of Morocco from the Miramar Gardens, which are situated near the Town Hall at the highest point of Tarifa.

The nearest to Tarifa international airport is situated in Gibraltar 45 to the Northeast. The second nearest airport is located in Malaga city, the most popular tourists’ destination in Andalusia, 160 kilometers to the Northeast.
